Surfing the Net last week, I discovered a very nice blog: lots of interesting Paris Stories, cool sketches, and the chance to discover Paris from a very personal point of view! The one below is a post about the 6e arrondissement… thanks Badaude!!!
“Who says that the 6e has lost it’s soul? That, since the Marche Saint Germain was converted into a branch of Gap in the 90s, the area is nothing but a playground for tourists looking for their own Paris je t’aime but finding only Paris Hilton, probably coming out of Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche.Anyway, it was raining again. I was tired. My feet were wet so I stopped at a little place which has intrigued me for a while. Les Racines, on rue Racine, is the sort of resto you don’t expect to find any more in the quartier, brushing up against Le Comptoire and La Mediterranee.
Inside, I found the most surprising thing; that Paris is still Paris.”
